My big Italian family

Each branch of my family tree offers a fascinating glimpse into Italy’s diverse cultural heritage and history. Originating in San Maurizio Canavese, Cirié, and Cafasse, the Bodoira family experienced profound changes as the Piemonte transitioned from the Napoleonic era to the Restoration period under the House of Savoy. Eastward, in the villages of Fagagna, Mereto di Tomba, and Placencis in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region, the Sabbadini and Ziraldo families witnessed the ebb and flow of cultural and political influences from Austria to the north, and Udine and Venice to the south.
